[Anyone out in Azalea might notice the not-really-unusual sight of an incredibly ragged-looking trainer dragging into town in the early hours of the morning. He's followed by a line of six equally-tired looking Pokemon, including a Gyarados.]
[Harry tiredly gestures for the rest of the impromptu Abbey Road tribute to wait outside as he walks into the Azalea Town Pokemart. Once inside, he makes for the counter while rummaging through his bag. Finally he pulls out and plops down some broken and still-sparking electronics that might be identified as the remains of a Pokegear.]
I need a replacement for this and something containing caffeine, please.
[The video feed comes later in the afternoon, once everyone involved has had a chance to recover a bit from the journey through Union Cave. Harry is outside near the edge of town, most of the Pokemon he had with him visible somewhere in the background. Harry himself is sporting something of a new look, with white now streaking the hair around his temples; and a set of black, distinctly Raikou-like markings spiking across his forehead and cheeks.]
[The new Pokegear itself is being held carefully at a distance, presumably by one of Harry's Pokemon.]
I'll admit that the sensation of computer technology shorting out and exploding under my fingers was a nice reminder of home, really. I'm all nostalgic now. As much as my raging ego would like to think otherwise, I'm going with personal experience on this one and assuming that this isn't an isolated thing.
So. How much property damage are we looking at this time?

...Anyone hurt? Worse than might normally be implied by 'massive superpowered-attack', I mean.

Date: 2012-08-05 05:09 am (UTC)Nothing I've heard about. There have been a few accidents, but that's just people being stupid.
Re: [video]
Date: 2012-08-05 08:50 pm (UTC)[A mildly pleasant surprise, for once.]
Any ideas about what caused all this, or are we thinking more of Johto just being strange?
[Soul-stealing bugs, random time-skips, and swarms of pissed-off animals... power-granting viruses would about fit.]

Date: 2012-08-06 03:57 am (UTC)I have an idea, but it's nothing I can confirm. The timing makes me think this was deliberate; why blow up the Centers unless you didn't want people getting treatment? The ones that went up were in major cities, where people normally go.
[Granted there's no guarantee that the nurses could do anything at all, but still.]
Re: [video; filtered]
Date: 2012-08-06 04:48 am (UTC)The timing is pretty suspicious, but didn't the symptoms start showing up before the explosions?
Could've been the Rockets trying to cause chaos once things started getting weird. ...Er, anyway.
[On the other hand, they seem to be behind pretty much every other thing that ever happens here...]

Date: 2012-08-06 06:51 am (UTC)Not for most of us. The only ones who seemed to be sick before the explosions were the locals. [she pauses to think on what else it could be, but she does have to agree with the fact that he's got a point.]
But you could be right. It could just be bad timing and nothing else; we might have been infected days before anything else happened and just didn't know it.
